Introduction

Our friends have requested that we create a space that shows all the befores & afters of our home in San Jose, CA.

So, here we go - this blog will show what the rooms looked like before, and after our remodel. If the room isn't completed yet, we'll show it's current state of construction.

So far for this remodel, we have taken 80% of our home down to the studs, replaced the electrical, plumbing, insulation, and some of the framing. We have raised ceilings in the foyer, living room, dining room & kitchen. We have widened doorways in the family room, dining room, & kitchen. We have removed walls in the bathroom, kitchen, hallway & foyer. We have replaced the flooring throughout the home, and replaced some of the subfloor.

This home has been created without the aide of a designer - and is based totally on our style, and how we like to live in a home. Yes, there are things we wish we had done differently, but that is going to have to happen in the next house!
